Toradora episode 4 seiyuu rage

They've changed seiyuus for Sumire. Fucking. Piece. Of. Shit. J.C.Staff. It was supposed to be Marina Inoue, now it's some dumb broad that has done Ryomou Shimei from Ikkitousen and some other crap previously, named Yuko Kaida. Sure, she can... probably shout and be mean as Ryomou, but as Sumire? Please.

I didn't notice any other changes yet, and I'm delighted by Eri Kitamuras voice as Ami. Episode 4 is the best so far, I lol'd pretty hard quite a few times. AND Inko-chan spoke normally, wut.

Toradora OP & ED; kara kara mawaru~

ilifin during full Pre-Parade

ilifin during full Pre-Parade

Both singles released on the same day means I have to update both OP and ED for the coming episode. And of course enjoy the music too, I had hoped. The Pre-parade full song wasn't all that, I like the anime cut better. Vanilla Salt I never liked in the first place either. BUT! On the OP single there's this song Karakuri that is freaking awesome and has been on repeat for a while here now.

Overall impression is that Horie can sing on her own, but her songs bore me. The combination of Kitamura, Kugimiya and Horie work out as long as they're vocoded. How weird's that?

OP had to be only slightly changed because of some mishearing of... 3 syllables I think? inb4 they change verses on the OP so we have to modify even more.

Back to the ED tho, this was more of a pain. Not too much changed here either, and there's dumb japanese going on which had one of the other TLs ripping at his hair. But of all these things... there's one line.

We've had "vanilla salt de, vanilla". Turns out this is so wrong, the pamphlet reveals "vanilla salt de, BURNING LOVE". If you were to say BURNING LOVE japanese pronunciation style, it'd be ba-nin rabu. Horie says this exceptionally fast, making the difference between ba-nira and ba-nin rabu next to nothing.

EDIT: I forgot to mention how much I raged about this. This song is making less and less sense now:

Toradora episode 3 translation notes

Where to begin. This episode is again filled with popular culture references, old ones and new. None other than our lovely referencebot Minorin will be providing me with this large amount of notes for this episode.

Toradora news and episode 3 expectations

Happy Toradora news for tards like me that absolutely love the novels the anime is based on. According to the newest update on the DVD release page for the show, there are at least 8 planned DVDs. The first DVD will contain episodes 1-4, so why not stick 3 or 4 episodes of the next 7 too? That's right, two full seasons of Toradora might be underway, and that means the pace will probably slow down very soon once they get to the content around volume 4 and 5.

This is also making koda fume since she now has to be sticking around for this for 5 more months.

Episode 3 is airing in a little less than five hours or so now, I hope they don't make this episode dumb and actually throw everyone off the expectations of the episode being a complete filler. From the preview, it looked very focused on Minorin and Ryuuji. Minorin content is always good content. I just hope she doesn't spam too much references again so I end up sitting research for twice the time it takes me to translate this.

Edited, lawl mishearing voices. Ryuuji you obsessive bastard.

Toradora episode 2 translation notes

Toradora episode 2 has proven that J.C.Staff are able to properly channel the works of Yuyuko Takemiya. Or well, somewhat, since they heavily rush through the original content. But, we didn't want to spam the episode with text, so here's me trying to explain some of the more peculiar things you'll find in the episode.

Kugimiya for Toradora?

Aisaka TaigaMoonPhase seems to have received a mail listing up 4 of the main cast for the upcoming Toradora! anime. While they doubt the credibility of the mail, there is arguably proof of these rumors being true, since the next issue of Dengeki Daioh is going to have a collaboration of the manga-adaption of the Toradora light novels and Shakugan no Shana. Looking at the fact that Kugimiya voices the main character of the Shakugan no Shana anime, this might be the leading trail to this. We might get some even angrier (than Shana and Louise combined) Kugimiya as Taiga, even though there is buzzing on 2ch about it being Tamura Yukari. Cast after the jump.
