Torapatcha
Five episodes of toradora, four patched releases and a totalt of five patches released. I'm stunned by this, as the patches all were because of different things, every time. And then the episode five patch combined the things we had to patch for episode 2-4 in one go. At least we included a bonus in the episode five patch, finally some karaoke to go with the OP and ED.
So why does this happen? I have no idea. It feels like the show is haunted, that it somehow always has some part of if getting messed up somewhere. Is it sloppy QC? Is it sloppy TLing? It could be sloppy editing, or even the final release muxer messing up. Always something that gets overlooked, or someone forgetting something. I might just have to write out some kind of checklist for every release now just to make sure we don't have to release a patch. With every episode.

…You guys need a Ryuuji-equivalent. Y’know, somebody who does all that double-checking simply because s/he enjoys to. Although, I doubt you’d be able to find that sort of person. ^^;

I blame the FABULOUS QC team. :effort:

Oh god don’t beat me ;_;

Well, it’s not like the patches have been anything huge. The one for ep5 was just the karaoke or something, right? Cuz I didn’t notice anything really~
And I totally didn’t even patch my ep2 or 3, I didn’t realize there was a patch lulz

Checklists are good. They may seem boring but it’s soooooo much easier just to glance over a checklist than to have to fix stuff afterwards, and saves you having to actually THINK whilst doing stuff, which seems to be something a lot of people are simply incapable of. I am trying to get people to use checklists at work, as I’m fed up of having to fix other people’s fuckups all the time.

It’s okay to make mistakes, we’re humans after all. It’s okay to fix them by releasing patches. What I don’t get is why you don’t release “..v2″ episodes along with patches. I mean, this way you’re prolonging life of defective episode, and getting correct episode requires downloading of defective one.. Make us leechers (and seeders) a favor, release v2’s along with patches, if you happen to wreck an initial release. Seriously.

I’m not sure if this is because you messed up with the video resolution or not, but I tried using MKVextract and Media Player Classic and I got a result of: The pixel resolution of the video is still 848×480, but it has a display resolution of 853×480.
I noticed this because I found out the subtitle is blurred than the other video.

EDIT: “I noticed this because I found out the subtitle is blurred than the other video episode.”
If you don’t get it, I’ll go straight: the video that was supposed to be 848×480 is forced to play at 853×480. The video itself is not stretched, but it simply “tells” the player to force-playback it at 853×480.

@ Invincibles
The 853×480 playback setting is correct and intended. It shouldn’t be causing you any subtitle blurring, and it’s not a mistake.
@ Cyber1
We use patches for minor changes only. For large/important changes, we’ll of course do full v2 releases.

I’m 100% confident the next episode won’t need a patch.

Did you guys get a C+D and stop the project? Project page says C+D but your torrents are still there.
I assume you guys are subbing hope you continue!

@coj:
It DOES have subtitle blurring, I could even able to compare the subtitle from episode 5 with all earlier episodes.
